Growing up in a small town in eastern Kentucky without the influences of New York or the fashion world, it is surprising that Laura would have found and acted on her passion for photography. It is a testament to the wonderful influences she has had and makes for one of those interesting American success stories where an outsider uses a unique life experience, fresh perspective and extraordinary work ethic to find a place in a business that is a notoriously tough nut to crack. Laura’s greatest asset is her ability to be moved and inspired, be it from a piece of clothing, the eyes of a great model, the way light splashes across the side of a building, a beautiful sunset or a cool song. Communicating these inspirations into carefully crafted images is what Laura has dedicated herself to and she feels so lucky to have found fashion as an avenue to channel her relentless creative drive. Laura has had numerous fashion stories published both domestically and internationally. New York is her incredible home base but she looks forward to doing more travel to keep adding to her ever evolving style and list of influences. |
